What is Faith Promise?
Faith Promise is a pledge we make with God to provide for missions around the world. This amount is different and separate from our tithes, which are used to take care of our church and the local ministry. However, there is a world-wide missionary outreach well beyond the scope of our church walls and state borders which is critical to preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ to millions of people.
Gospel Baptist Church currently supports missionaries in Africa, Asia, Australia, Pacific Islands, Europe, North Central America, and South America. In those countries, we have forty-four missionaries & their families serving the Lord. Many live in dangerous countries where people risk their lives just to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ preached. Likewise, our missionaries equally risk their lives to preach it. Since we cannot be with them, it is our obligation to help them by any means possible.
Faith Promise giving has been defined as “money that God gives to you that He would not otherwise give to you if He did not know that He could trust you to give it to missions". *
"God, in His Word, has promised to provide the necessary means to evangelize each generation. Yet, sixty-five generations have passed, and some twenty-one billion people have died who were not reached with the Gospel of Jesus Christ ... not because of a lack of available finances, but because of a lack of faith on the part of most Christians."*
When your church creates a need by promising financial support to God’s missionaries, you can also claim the promise of God’s supply. Not only must the individuals of the church exercise faith and promise to give, but the church collectively must exercise faith and promise to give so the missionary can actually go.
This, then, is the essence of Faith-Promise giving – our abundance comes directly from God. If we trust him to provide as He promises, we can step out in faith to give toward the work of God knowing that He “is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think” (Ephesians 3:20). Through Faith-Promise giving, we can make a substantial impact in world evangelism in our generation.
2 Corinthians 9:8 tell us: “And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work."
As followers of Christ, we are to place our bank accounts, as well as our talents in God’s hands.

The Gospel Baptist Church Annual Missions Conference
Once each year, generally in the Fall, we invite our available missionaries to come home to Gospel Baptist Church. We have a conference, giving each missionary an opportunity to present a service with updates on their ministries. We top off the event with a special Christmas dinner complete with presents for them to take back home. It’s always an especially enjoyable time and we trust you will be blessed by the experience.
