Ron and Janice Royalty were married in 1970 and began in the full-time ministry in 1974 after graduating from Temple Baptist Theological Seminary and Tennessee Temple University respectively. After serving in Minnesota for 9 years, they came to Gospel Baptist to help start the Christian school. Pastor Royalty was called to be the senior pastor in 1988 and has served in that capacity since that time. Mrs. Royalty is the Music Coordinator for the church, teaches music in the school along with private piano and voice lessons and leads the Ladies' Chorale.

The Royalty's have five children and thirteen grandchildren.
